From Ms. Bonner

The first nine week grading period ends on October 28. This is a great time to log in to PowerSchool and check your child’s grades and look for any missing assignments. If you need assistance with setting up your PowerSchool or ParentSquare accounts, please contact Mrs. Hailstock, our student support teacher, at rmhailstock@henrico.k12.va.us. Report cards only come home at the end of the year so having an active PowerSchool account is important to understanding your child’s success.

Thank you for taking the time to read our updates this week.

Drop Everything and Glow Read with Book Character Dress Up

We are excited to have a Drop Everything and Glow Reading day on October 30th. Thank you to our PTA for partnering with us to purchase glow sticks for this fun event! Students may dress as their favorite book character as part of this day. Please remember all school rules must be followed when selecting your character including appropriate shoes and no full face coverings. Student accessories must also be appropriate (no weapons).

PTA Updates

As we continue to tally the donations from this year’s Dolphin Fund, I want to take a moment to thank every student, staff member, family, and friend who contributed! Your generosity allows the JDES PTA to continue supporting our students, staff, and school community and create fun and memorable experiences for our Dolphins.

We have a big week ahead for the Dolphin Community!
